                                            NEGOTIATING WITH YOURSELF
               The term negotiation is part of our everyday life.  You negotiate all day,
        every day, from the time you wake up to the time you go to sleep.
               In office it may be on the contractual terms of new project, setting the
        performance  objectives  &  targets  in  a  monthly  review  meeting  or  simply
        achieving the reduction in head counts.  In the evening back at home we
        negotiate with our children on their TV hours,  how much money you need
        to  transfer  to  the  ageing  parents  on  both  sides.  From  the  major  to  the
        mundane, negotiating is the way we get things done.
               The word "negotiation” often  conjure up negative images of conflict
        and  struggle.  But  successful  negotiation  is  about  discussion  aimed  at
